Friends and Neighbors,

Recent Federal cuts have put many programs like Meals on Wheels in financial difficulty or facing being shut down totally. This program provides meals delivered daily to many elderly people and shut ins who need help. Inspiration Hill has numerous individuals that receive services from Meals on Wheels or MOW.

Providers deliver these meals and often stay for a short visit. Providers have discovered that if an individual has a companion animal, they will often wait for the provider to leave and then share their meal with their beloved pet. MOW attempts to provide food for these individuals when MOW has it in stock.

The Inspiration Hill Events Committee has set up pet food drive to help supplement MOW with their pet food inventory. You can donate wet or dry food for either a cat or dog.

The date for collection is Saturday, March 29^th from 9-11 AM at the IHHA parking lot.

Inspiration Hills residents have always been very generous in the past decade donating to the annual Food Drive and the recent Clothing Drive. If you have a donation and are unable to come to the park, please call 210-378-8599 to arrange a pick-up. Monetary donations will be accepted by check payable to MEALS ON WHEELS.
